Q:3 Write from your own experience:

.
NEW YEAR
New year is celebrated in Pakistan in an Islamic manner. The Muslims do not follow non-Islamic customs. Our religion guides us to worship God on such occasions. On this day the people of our country wish new year to one another. The devoted Muslims pray to God begging forgiveness for their sins. The children ask their elders to pray for their success in life. The parents and elders give gifts to the youngsters. The people do not celebrate a holiday. A small number of people celebrate the new year celebrations in an un-Islamic manner. They arrange feasts and dance parties. They play games, watch movies and enjoy delicious dishes. In this way they waste their money and t.ime. We should advise such people to worship God. We should ask them to spend their money for welfare and well being of the people. Worship and service to human being are the bright ways to pleasure and eternal success.
.
b) Any other festival celebrated in your home or country.
BASANT FAIR
Basant is the festival of kite flying. It means yellow colour. It is associated with the blooming of yellow flowers of mustard in February. It is an early spring festival. It marks the end of winter. It is held in the first or the second week of February every year.

People go mad with joy on this day. Now Basant night is also celebrated. Kites are flown in the flood light speakers from the top of the roofs. High building are specially selected for kite flying. Every kind of festivity is allowed on this day. The sky is over cast with multi coloured kites. Music is on air through loud speakers on the top of every roof.
